About Mitchell Dohman – Owner, The Boat Butler

Yachting is in my nature. With over 25 years in the marine industry, I bring professional boatyard expertise directly to your dock on Lake Travis, Lake LBJ, and Lake Buchanan.

I started my career as a boatwright performing hands-on repairs and fabrication, and over time advanced through every aspect of the vessel lifecycle — from fiberglass, composites, aluminum, and steel work to large-scale project management and team leadership. As former General Manager and Project Manager at KKMI Boatyard (Safe Harbor) on the West Coast, I oversaw up to 30 concurrent yacht refit and repair projects, led teams of 17, and managed multi-million-dollar budgets while maintaining strict environmental compliance and sustainability standards.

I’m also a Diver, Delivery Captain, and ocean racer with experience navigating everything from custom builds to blue-water passages. After relocating to the Texas Hill Country, I founded The Boat Butler to deliver the same level of care, attention to detail, and professionalism I provided in the boatyard — but with the convenience of mobile service.
